“How did you get my number?”
What it usually means
A trust question wearing a privacy question. They want to know whether you are legitimate before they will hear anything else.
What to say
Public property records. Your name is on the deed and the number is attached to it. If you would rather I take you off the list I will do that right now.
What not to say
Never say you do not know, and never be vague. Vagueness here reads as a scam and ends the call.
